10:33 AM EDT, 04/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Gilat Satellite Networks ( GILT ) said Tuesday that its DataPath unit has won a $12 million US Army contract to continue a program to "sustain anytime, anywhere satellite connectivity."

The contract will supply solid state amplifier products that will allow the satellite transportable terminals used in the program to bring a "communications-on-the-pause" feature to various climates and conditions worldwide, the company said.

Gilat shares were up 3.1% in recent trading.
