08:21 AM EDT, 10/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Gilat Satellite Networks ( GILT ) said Tuesday that it has been awarded a three-year contract valued at $4 million to provide rural Latin America communities with satellite-powered banking and payment services connectivity.

Gilat said it will provide communications to connect bank branches, as well as for secure communications, ATMs, and point of sale transactions.

Shares of the company were up nearly 2% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
