Gilead Sciences Q1 Tops Estimates, Updates Outlook

04:50 PM EDT, 04/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Gilead Sciences ( GILD ) late Thursday reported Q1 non-GAAP net loss of $1.32 per diluted share, compared with earnings of $1.37 last year.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected a loss of $1.52 a share.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $6.69 billion, up from $6.35 billion last year.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $6.35 billion.

For 2024, Gilead projects its non-GAAP EPS of $3.45 to $3.85, compared with $6.85 and $7.25 previously. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $3.93.

The company kept its product sales guidance of $27.1 billion to $27.5 billion for the year.

The company kept its quarterly dividend of $0.77 per share, payable June 27 to stockholders of record June 14.

The stock was up more than 3% in extended trading.
