Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.55.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $7.55 billion, up from $7.05 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $7 billion.

The company said it now expects 2024 non-GAAP diluted EPS between $4.25 and $4.45, from the previous guidance between $3.60 and $3.90.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $3.79.

Shares of Gilead Sciences ( GILD ) were up nearly 5% in after-hours trading.
