09:54 AM EDT, 03/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ginkgo Bioworks Holdings ( DNA ) and AQUA Cultured Foods said Wednesday they are collaborating to support AQUA's fermentation technology for producing fish-free seafood that mimics the taste and texture of fresh-caught seafood.

The partnership is expected to support AQUA's fermentation process using Ginkgo's microbial characterization and analytics to potentially expand AQUA's product range, the companies said.
