08:23 AM EDT, 05/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Giyani Metals ( CATPF ) , developer of the K. Hill battery-grade manganese project in Botswana, on Monday said Jonathan Henry, Michael Jones, John Petersen and Nicola Spooner have retired from the board, effective May 24.

The board changes are part of the company's transition to becoming a manganese battery metals producer, Giyani said.

Mark Burnett will join the board as interim chair, but will step down at the next annual general meeting. Giyani's board has begun the process to identify new directors with specific expertise in EV battery product marketing, project financing and capital markets experience.
