07:47 AM EDT, 05/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Global Payments ( GPN ) said Wednesday that it has agreed to sell its Payroll business to financial technology firm Acrisure for $1.1 billion, as part of efforts to streamline operations and focus on commerce solutions.

The deal is expected to be completed in H2, Global Payments ( GPN ) said.

Global Payments ( GPN ) said it plans to use the proceeds to return after-tax capital to shareholders.

Global Payments ( GPN ) said it has also entered into a long-term commercial partnership with Acrisure to continue offering integrated payroll services to its merchant clients.
