05:32 PM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Global Ship Lease ( GSL ) said Tuesday it is initiating a supplemental dividend of $0.075 a share per quarter.

The supplemental payout will be in addition to the dividend of $0.375 per Class A common share per quarter and will start with the dividend payment after Q2 earnings are reported, the company said.

"Recent containership charter market strength is enabling Global Ship Lease ( GSL ) to secure higher-than-anticipated cashflows from time charters with longer-than-anticipated durations," according to a statement.
