09:00 AM EDT, 03/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Global Uranium ( GURFF ) on Wednesday said it has begun geophysical surveying at the Northwest Athabasca project in Saskatchewan.
The surveys are focused on the Spring Bay target and are designed to refine drill targeting ahead of the winter drilling campaign, the company said.
The drill rig is expected to arrive at the project site this week, with the first hole anticipated to be collared shortly thereafter, Global Uranium ( GURFF ) added.
"The data from these surveys will provide more insight into Spring Bay and improve drill target selection," CEO Ungad Chadda said. "With camp construction nearing completion and drill mobilization underway, we are well-positioned to execute this exploration program."
The Northwest Athabasca project is a joint venture between Global Uranium ( GURFF ) and operator Forum Energy Metals ( FDCFF ) .
Global Uranium's ( GURFF ) share price rose 2.6% on Tuesday to $0.195 on the CSE.
