08:32 AM EDT, 08/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GlobalFoundries ( GFS ) said Thursday it has completed its acquisition of MIPS, a supplier of artificial intelligence and processor intellectual property.

MIPS will operate as a standalone business within GlobalFoundries ( GFS ), maintaining its licensing model and serving customers across technology sectors, the company said.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
