GlobalFoundries Collaborates With BAE Systems on Chips for Space Applications

12:24 PM EST, 11/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GlobalFoundries ( GFS ) said Wednesday its FinFET semiconductor technology will be used by British defense company BAE Systems to create chips for space applications.

BAE Systems advanced its RH12 Storefront circuit development capability to create chips using GlobalFoundries' ( GFS ) 12LP FinFET technology platform for electronic systems that can withstand harsh environments, GlobalFoundries ( GFS ) said.

The new offering ensures processing performance, secure connectivity, and reliable power efficiency for space-based computing, the company said.
