09:20 AM EDT, 10/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GlobalFoundries ( GFS ) said Wednesday it has partnered with NXP Semiconductors ( NXPI ) to advance next-generation services in various markets, including automotive, IoT, and smart mobile devices.

The partnership will use GlobalFoundries' ( GFS ) 22FDX technology to enhance power efficiency, performance, and NXP's products' time-to-market, GlobalFoundries ( GFS ) said. Manufacturing of 22FDX chips will take place in Dresden, Germany, and Malta, New York, it added.
