10:25 AM EDT, 10/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GlobalFoundries ( GFS ) and Silicon Laboratories ( SLAB ) said Thursday they have expanded their partnership to develop wireless technologies and strengthen US-based semiconductor manufacturing.

Under the collaboration, Silicon Labs' ( SLAB ) wireless system-on-chips will be manufactured on GlobalFoundries' ( GFS ) new 40-nanometer Ultra Low Power platform.

The partnership aims to advance the development and production of energy-efficient wireless solutions at GlobalFoundries' ( GFS ) facility in Malta, New York.

The development is underway, with production expected to ramp up over the next several years, according to the companies.

GlobalFoundries ( GFS ) shares were up 5% in recent trading, while Silicon Labs ( SLAB ) was 0.4% lower.
