08:40 AM EDT, 06/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GlobalFoundries ( GFS ) said Wednesday it plans to invest $16 billion to further develop its semiconductor manufacturing and advanced packaging capabilities in its New York and Vermont facilities.

Shares were 1% higher in recent premarket activity.
