Globalstar Begins Japan Ground Station Expansion for Asia Satellite Services

10:20 AM EDT, 07/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Globalstar ( GSAT ) said Thursday it has begun building additional gateway infrastructure at its ground station in Bihoro, Japan, to accelerate the rollout of its mobile satellite services across Asia.

The expansion includes new tracking antennas to support Globalstar's ( GSAT ) current satellite constellation and its upcoming third-generation C-3 mobile satellite system, the company said.

Shares of Globalstar ( GSAT ) were up 1.3% in recent Thursday trading.
