10:40 AM EDT, 08/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Globalstar ( GSAT ) and Parsons (PSN) said Tuesday they have completed a proof of concept for a software-defined satellite communications system and were moving into the commercial phase.

The companies integrated Globalstar's ( GSAT ) Low Earth Orbit satellite network with Parsons' software-defined communication technologies to deliver global communication services, according to a joint statement.

A proof of concept was conducted across three European ground stations to validate the system's performance and commercial readiness, the companies added.

Shares of Globalstar ( GSAT ) and Parsons were up 2.3% and 0.6%, respectively, in recent trading Tuesday.
