09:45 AM EDT, 05/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- General Motors' ( GM ) GM Defense unit and Mistral said Monday that they have entered into a collaboration to integrate Mistral and UVision's Hero-120 loitering munition system into GM Defense's light tactical utility vehicle.

The integration provides the US Army and allied forces with a "combination of mobility, precision and adaptability," according to Yoav Banai, Mistral vice president.

Initial demonstrations have been completed, said John Johnson, GM Defense vice president of business development.

The GM Defense utility concept vehicle has a cargo bed in the rear to house Hero-120 and is designed to support command and control, electronic warfare, counter-unmanned aircraft systems, reconnaissance and logistics, the companies said.
