Rajiv Kumar Gupta, managing director, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals (GNFC), on Tuesday said the company is long-term debt-free.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Gupta said he can't see the toluene diisocyanate (TDI) prices softening too much as far as domestic prices were concerned.
Gupta said the company is selling around Rs 300,000 domestically for the last one year with 5-7 percent plus or minus.
"I do not see those prices going drastically down, Rs 5,000-10,000 depending on the imports,” Gupta added.
According to Gupta, he can't see TDI prices correcting below Rs 250 per kg.
Talking about geographical mix, he said, "We have opened up new markets. We are exporting to 31 countries in Africa, 11 countries in Latin America and South America, which were non-existent earlier.”
