05:04 AM EDT, 07/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Gogoro ( GGR ) said Wednesday it has achieved a certification to launch battery swapping and scooters that it calls "smart" in Singapore.

The company plans to launch with its exclusive distribution partner, Cycle & Carriage, in Q4. It received certification from Singapore's Land Transport Authority.

Cycle & Carriage also disclosed a partnership with Shell Recharge to launch battery-swapping GoStations at Shell outlets in Singapore.

The first Shell-based GoStation will likely be complete by August, and more are expected in the next two years, the company said.
