Goodfellow's Fiscal Q1 Loss Narrows Versus the Year Earlier Period

05:19 PM EDT, 04/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Goodfellow ( GFELF ). (GDL.TO) after trade Thursday it fiscal first-quarter loss narrowed.

The company reported a net loss of $108,000, or $0.01 per share, in the quarter ended Feb.29, compared to a net loss of $211,000 or $0.02, in the year-prior period

Consolidated sales for the quarter were $105.3 million compared to $105.9 million last year.

Goodwill's brief earnings statement said: "Though under pressure from lingering inflation and cautious consumer sentiment, Goodfellow ( GFELF ) achieved a comparable overall financial performance.

And it added: "With uncertain economic conditions ahead, the company will continue to protect margins and seize opportunities for growth with new and existing customers."
