07:09 AM EST, 01/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Goodfood Market ( GDDFF ) on Tuesday said its first-quarter net loss narrowed even as net sales fell.
The company, which sells online meal kits and prepared meals, said the net loss narrowed 14% to $1.7 million, or $0.02 per share, from $2 million, or $0.03 per share, last year.
Net sales fell 14% to $35 million. Goodfood said the lower sales was due to fewer active customers driving lower orders as well as an increase in credits and incentives compared to last year. The decrease was partially offset by a higher average order value.
