10:28 AM EDT, 03/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) said Wednesday it has completed its acquisition of Wiz, a New York-based cloud and artificial intelligence security platform.

The deal is expected to strengthen Google Cloud's security capabilities by creating a unified platform with Wiz that will help organizations more quickly detect, prevent and respond to cyber threats, including risks involving AI models, while providing consistent security tools, policies and processes across major cloud environments from code to runtime, Google ( GOOG ) said.

Separately, Wiz said it has started working with Google Gemini and expects to share the next phase of their partnership "in the coming days."

Google ( GOOG ) said in March 2025 that it was acquiring Wiz for $32 billion.
