Google Deploys Generative AI Technology in Several Collaborations

09:44 AM EDT, 04/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG) Google ( GOOG ) said Tuesday it entered into collaborations with several companies as it expands the services of its generative artificial intelligence technology.

Best Buy ( BBY ) and Accenture ( ACN ) will be deploying Google Cloud's generative AI features for their customer services, Google ( GOOG ) said. Best Buy ( BBY ) expects to provide its US customers access to a virtual assistant powered by generative AI for self-service support starting in late summer 2024, according to Google ( GOOG ).

Best Buy ( BBY ) and Accenture ( ACN ) will also collaborate with Google Cloud to develop an AI-driven assistant "specifically for its front-line employees serving customers nationwide," the search engine company said.

Broadcom ( AVGO ) and MicroStrategy ( MSTR ) have also agreed to migrate some of its products to Google Cloud.

Separately, Google Cloud said it signed a deal to become the main AI and cloud infrastructure provide for Palo Alto (PANW).

Orange SA ( ORAN ) , Discover Financial (DFS), Cintas ( CTAS ) , Bell Canada (BCE) and IHG Hotels and Resorts (IHG) have also entered into agreements with Google Cloud to migrate products and services, as well as co-develop AI technologies.
