Google Enters Partnership With French Shipping Giant to Support AI Adoption

08:49 AM EDT, 07/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) has entered into a partnership with French shipping company CMA CGM to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across its operations, the companies said Thursday.

The collaboration "aims to revolutionize shipping by enhancing efficiency, responsiveness, and adaptability to market fluctuations and disruptions," the companies said.

CMA's logistics arm will use a smart management tool built on Google ( GOOG ) technology to enhance the operation of its 10.3 million square meters of warehouse space, the companies said

In addition, CMA Media will be supported by Google's ( GOOG ) AI capabilities to help journalists in tasks such as synthesizing and translating documents and digitizing and referencing archives, the companies added.

Financial terms of the collaboration were not disclosed.
