08:38 AM EDT, 03/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG) Google ( GOOG ), Microsoft ( MSFT ) , and Nucor ( NUE ) said Tuesday they will collaborate on an initiative to advance clean electricity technologies.

The power models will be aimed at speeding up the development of nuclear, geothermal, clean hydrogen, and energy storage projects, starting by soliciting offers in several US regions from potential projects in need of funding and support, the companies said.

The two tech firms and the steelmaker said they will publicly share lessons from their first pilot projects in an effort to encourage other clean energy initiatives.
