Google Offers 'Cost-Efficient' Gemini AI Model

12:14 PM EST, 02/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) released a new artificial intelligence model that the company called its "most cost-efficient model yet."

Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite is in public preview in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI, according to a blog post Wednesday from the tech giant.

The company said 2.0 Flash-Lite's quality is better than 1.5 Flash and has the same speed and cost.

Google ( GOOG ) also said it is making an updated Gemini 2.0 Flash generally available and releasing an experimental version of Gemini 2.0 Pro, which it described as its "best model yet for coding performance and complex prompts."
