Google Partners With PJM to Apply AI-Driven Capabilities to US Electricity Grid

06:39 AM EDT, 04/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) said Thursday it is collaborating with grid operator PJM Interconnection and Alphabet-backed Tapestry to apply artificial intelligence-driven data capabilities to the US electricity system.

Under the collaboration, Tapestry, which will use Google Cloud and Google DeepMind, will develop AI-driven technology that will manage and optimize interconnecting power generation to the PJM electric grid across 13 states and the District of Columbia.

Google ( GOOG ) said the technology will help PJM to connect energy sources to its grid faster.
