04:22 PM EDT, 09/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's Google ( GOOG ) and PayPal ( PYPL ) announced a multiyear partnership to explore a range of digital commerce solutions.

The companies said they plan to develop AI-powered shopping experiences and industry standards for agentic commerce, combining PayPal's ( PYPL ) global payments infrastructure with Google's ( GOOG ) AI capabilities.

As part of the partnership, PayPal's ( PYPL ) solutions will be embedded across Google ( GOOG ) platforms, including Cloud, Ads, and Play, while also serving as a key payment processor.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

Alphabet shares rose 0.1% in after-hours trading, and PayPal ( PYPL ) climbed 0.6%.
