Technology giant Google will counter latest iPhones by bringing upgrades to its Pixel smartphones, reported Bloomberg.
As per the report, the company will also look to introduce a model with a nearly edge-to-edge screen to boost the revenue of the phone that till now has failed to make any impact in the market.
Sources close to the development said plans are being made to introduce at least two new models, likely to be dubbed the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the report said.
People familiar with the move claimed that the larger phone is designed with a nearly edge-to-edge screen, except for a thicker bezel known as a chin at the bottom of the phone along with a notch on the top of the display, the report said.
They added that both models will include upgraded, single-lens cameras on the back, while the bigger Pixel will include two camera lenses on the front.
Upgrades are also expected on the Android operating system inside the smartphones.
While the models will possibly come out in October, it will be interesting to watch whether the new phones will change the fortunes of the company.
While its smartphones have garnered critical acclaim they have failed to make it big in the market, according to the report.
