12:41 PM EDT, 05/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google said Thursday it entered agreements with two Japanese renewable energy providers to source solar power for its data centers in Japan.
Google entered power purchase agreements with Clean Energy Connect and Shizen Energy to add a combined 60 megawatts of solar capacity via projects across the country.
The projects are expected to be fully operational within four years, Google said.
