02:27 PM EST, 02/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOGL, GOOG) Google ( GOOG ) on Thursday introduced new artificial intelligence-powered features in Google Translate to explore linguistic nuances.

Google Translate, using Gemini's multilingual capabilities, now offers multiple alternatives, which is particularly useful for translating idioms and more colloquial phrases, the tech giant said in a blog post.

The new features are available in the US and India as of Thursday on the Google Translate app and will soon be available on the web, the company said.
