GovHost Acquires True North Software to Expand Public Safety Technology Portfolio
Nov 10, 2025 9:18 AM

COLUMBIA, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

GovHost, a leading provider of public safety software solutions, today announced its acquisition of True North Software LLC, an Illinois-based company known for its cloud-native Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System(RMS) software tailored to small and mid-sized law enforcement agencies.

This strategic acquisition strengthens GovHost’s commitment to delivering intuitive, mission-critical technology to public safety agencies. True North’s deep expertise in state compliance, LEADS 3.0 integration, and real-time NIBRS validation complements GovHost’s existing suite of products.

“This is a powerful step forward for GovHost and the agencies we serve,” said Kyle Indermuehle, CEO of GovHost. “True North has built a reputation for responsiveness, configurability, and customer-first service. Their cloud-native CAD software completes our goal of building a platform for CAD, RMS, and JMS [Jail Management Systems] cloud solutions. Together, we’ll accelerate product innovation and expand our ability to support agencies that deserve more attention and care than they’ve historically received from vendors.”

True North will continue normal operations, with key personnel remaining in leadership roles. Customers can expect continuity in service, expanded resources, and new opportunities for cross-platform enhancements.

“Joining GovHost allows us to scale our vision while staying true to our roots,” said Greg Whitt, COO of True North Software. “We’ve always believed that small and mid-sized agencies deserve world-class tools and support. With GovHost, we gain the resources to move faster, go further, and deliver even more value to our customers.”
