06:01 AM EDT, 08/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Grab Holdings ( GRAB ) will make a strategic equity investment in WeRide ( WRD ) as part of their partnership to accelerate the deployment and commercialization of level 4 robotaxis and shuttles in Southeast Asia, WeRide ( WRD ) said Friday.

The investment is expected to be completed by H1 2026, WeRide ( WRD ) said.

WeRide ( WRD ) will use the proceeds to help expand its commercial autonomous vehicle fleet in Southeast Asia and advance artificial intelligence-driven mobility.

WeRide ( WRD ) shares were up 3.1% in recent premarket activity, while Grab fell 0.4%.
