09:17 AM EDT, 03/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- GrafTech International ( EAF ) said Friday it has submitted a petition with Brazil's Department of Trade Defense of Foreign Trade Secretariat to request a probe into whether graphite electrodes from China and India are being exported to Brazil at "unfair prices."

The regulator started an investigation on Wednesday and made a preliminary evaluation that the dumping margins for graphite electrode exports from China and India stand at 54.9% and 57.3%, respectively, the company said.

GrafTech ( EAF ) said the regulator concluded, based on initial investigation, that there is "sufficient evidence" of dumping to move ahead with further probe.

Shares of the company were up 1.7% in Friday premarket activity.
