Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $4.97.
Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $38.3 million, up from $30.3 million a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $34.4 million.
The firm said its funds could extend its runway into 2028.
Shares of the company were up about 12% in after-hours activity.
