Feb 4 (Reuters) - Grain merchant Archer-Daniels-Midland ( ADM )
on Tuesday missed Wall Street expectations for
fourth-quarter profit and said it would lay off about 700
employees globally.
The Chicago-based company posted an adjusted profit of $1.14
per share for the three months ended Dec. 31, compared with
analysts' average estimate of $1.15 per share, according to data
compiled by LSEG.
