06:30 AM EDT, 08/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Gran Tierra Energy ( GTE ) late on Tuesday said its board and the board of i3 Energy ( ITEEF ) reached agreement on the terms of a cash and share offer by Gran Tierra to acquire all i3 Energy ( ITEEF ).

The companies said they have obtained an advance ruling certificate in respect of the acquisition under the Competition Act of Canada, satisfying one of the conditions of the deal.

The acquisition remains subject to approval by the court, i3 Energy ( ITEEF ) shareholders and TSX, among other conditions.
