Granite Awarded $20 Million Contract to Develop 40-Mile Multimodal Pathway in Southern California's Coachella Valley

09:29 AM EDT, 07/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Granite Construction ( GVA ) said Thursday it has received a $20 million contract from the Coachella Valley Association of Governments to develop a 40-mile multimodal pathway in Southern California between Palm Springs and Thermal.

The firm anticipates starting the project this month and completing it by next July, Granite added.

Shares of the company were up 1.7% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
