Granite Construction Awarded $38 Million Contract for Highway Upgrade in California

10:16 AM EDT, 08/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Granite Construction ( GVA ) said Thursday it has been awarded a roughly $38 million contract by the California Department of Transportation, or Caltrans, for improvements along a segment of Highway 101 in southern Santa Barbara.

The civil construction company said the project, funded by Caltrans and local sources, includes adding High Occupancy Vehicle lanes and upgrading infrastructure.

Granite said it expects to begin work in September and complete it in October 2026, it added.
