08:55 AM EST, 11/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Graphite One ( GPHOF ) said Thursday that it identified the presence of rare earth elements in its Graphite Creek deposit in Alaska.
The company said geochemical analyses completed by Activation Laboratories found rare earths in drill core samples of garnet-bearing ore rock within the anticipated pit outlined in a feasibility study completed in February.
"Given the robust economics of our planned complete graphite materials supply chain, the presence of rare earths at Graphite Creek suggests that recovery as a by-product to our graphite production will maximize the value," Graphite One ( GPHOF ) President Anthony Huston said.
Rare earths have been deemed strategic to U.S. industry and national security, the company said. The minerals are key materials in producing permanent magnets used in wind turbines, electric vehicles and advanced defense systems such as precision-guided munitions and radar.
Graphite One's ( GPHOF ) share price fell 3.1% on Wednesday to C$1.26 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
