09:08 AM EDT, 07/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Shares of graphite producers rallied on Friday after the US announced it would impose preliminary anti-dumping duties of 93.5% on graphite imports from China.
Canada's Nouveau Monde Graphite ( NMG ) led the gains jumping 6% and Novonix ( NVX ) shares were up 6.8%.
Australia-listed Syrah Resources gained 25.8% and South Korea's Posco Future M was up 19.6%.
Graphite is a key mineral used in the anodes of electric-vehicle batteries.
