Gray Media to Acquire Block Communications TV Stations for $80 Million

11:17 AM EDT, 08/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Gray Media ( GTN ) said Friday it has agreed to buy television stations owned by Block Communications in a deal valued at $80 million.

The deal includes Fox (FOX) and CW Network affiliates WDRB and WBKI in Louisville, Kentucky, the company said.

Gray Media ( GTN ) said it will also acquire NBC affiliates WAND in the Springfield-Champaign-Decatur, Illinois, market and WLIO in Lima, Ohio, as well as WLIO's associated low-power television stations.

The multimedia company said it expects the transactions to close in Q4, pending regulatory approval, including waivers of the Federal Communications Commission's current ownership rules.

Shares of Gray Media ( GTN ) were down 2.1% in recent Friday trading.
