11:25 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Green Plains ( GPRE ) said Thursday it has named Phil Boggs as chief financial officer, effective Friday, succeeding Jim Stark, who will retire by the end of 2024.

Boggs, currently the executive vice president of investor relations & finance at Green Plains ( GPRE ), joined the company in 2009.

Shares of the company surged 20% in recent trading.
