10:34 AM EST, 01/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Green Plains ( GPRE ) said Thursday that key milestones for the "Advantage Nebraska" carbon strategy have been met and the project remains on track for operation in H2.

"We are very pleased with the progress that Tallgrass has made on the Trailblazer CCS project," Chief Executive Officer Todd Becker said.

"Tallgrass has secured all the rights of way for the laterals to connect our Nebraska plants, and all Class VI sequestration well permits have been issued, allowing us to stay firmly on schedule."

The facilities would be among the first in the US to produce significant volumes of low-carbon ethanol through carbon capture and sequestration, the firm said.

Shares of Green Plains ( GPRE ) were up over 3% in recent trading activity.
