Industries ( GTBIF ) has expressed an interest in merging with

U.S.-based brewer Boston Beer ( SAM ), the Wall Street Journal

reported on Tuesday, citing a letter sent by the company's CEO

to Boston Beer ( SAM ) founder Jim Koch.
