Sep 15, 2025 6:34 PM

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- GreenArrow is excited to announce its latest strategic partnership with the acquisition of James D. Hinson Electrical Contracting Co. (Hinson). This acquisition strengthens GreenArrow's position as a leading provider of transportation electrical infrastructure services, now serving four major regions of the United States.

Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Hinson was founded in 1986 by James and Shirley Hinson. Dan Hinson and Jamey McCoy acquired the business in 2010 from their parents, sparking significant growth in the transportation sector.  Known for its high-quality work and expertise in the transportation sector, the multi-generational, family-run business has built a strong reputation for the construction and maintenance of traffic signals, streetlights, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and airport lighting.  "Joining GreenArrow was an easy decision because their values and goals align closely with ours.  We are confident that our employees, customers, and partners will thrive through this new partnership," said Dan Hinson President of Hinson.

"Hinson brings a rich history of excellence and a deep commitment to quality that aligns perfectly with our mission at GreenArrow," said Lloyd Kuehn, CEO of GreenArrow. "This acquisition not only expands our geographic reach but also enhances our collective expertise, allowing us to deliver even more comprehensive and efficient solutions to our clients nationwide.  We are especially excited to work with Dan, Jamey, and the entire Hinson team to further our expertise and geographic expansion in the southeast."

The GreenArrow brand, formed in early 2025, is focused on uniting exceptional infrastructure services companies to provide safer, smarter, and more efficient electrical solutions. With the addition of Hinson, the GreenArrow family now includes over 650 employees across Midwestern Electric, Kuharchik Construction, Bear Electrical Solutions, and Hinson. GreenArrow specializes in maintaining and installing transportation electrical infrastructure, including traffic signals, streetlights, intelligent transportation systems, and utility systems.
