Greenidge Generation Says Bitcoin Production Fell in August; Shares Higher

12:58 PM EDT, 09/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Greenidge Generation ( GREE ) said Monday that it produced 55 bitcoin in August, down from 58 in July.

The company said 17 bitcoin were produced by Greenidge-owned miners and 38 through the company's data center hosting.

Greenidge said that it held 51 bitcoin as of Friday and that it plans to upgrade its fleet with newer generation miners over the remainder of 2024 and in 2025.

The company also said that its CEO Jordan Kovler was speaking to the H.C. Wainwright Annual Global Investment Conference on Monday and that it will be filing an updated investor presentation in conjunction with the event.

Greenidge shares were nearly 13% higher in recent trading.
