05:36 PM EDT, 08/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GreenPower Motor Co. ( GP ) (GPV.V, GP), after trade Wednesday reported a modest sales for its fiscal first quarter but flagged "a step up" in its revenues through the remaining quarters of the year.
The electric truck manufacturer declined to disclose its profit or loss in the quarter ended June 30, but posted revenue of of US$3.0 million in the quarter, with cost of sales of $2.8 million, netting a gross profit of more than $0.2 million.
"We have seen a significant uptick this summer in our sales pipeline for GreenPower's all-electric commercial vehicles, including 28 specialty vehicles for deployment in Canada which would utilize our current inventory of EV Star Cab & Chassis. We've also received orders for EV Star Passenger Vans in a variety of seating configurations and EV Star Cargo Plus for more than 20 vehicles," said chief executive Fraser Atkinson.
The company's shares closed unchanged at $1.10 on the TSX Venture Exchange today.
