GreenPower Shares Up 2.9% in U.S. Pre-market on First Bus Deliveries to West Virginia
Mar 20, 2025 6:32 AM

09:08 AM EDT, 03/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GreenPower Motor ( GP ) rose 2.9% at last look Thursday in Nasdaq pre-market trading as the company announced the delivery of the first four all-electric, zero-emission school buses to its West Virginia dealer for the Kanawha County School District.

The deliveries were made under round two funding of the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean School Bus Program, which included an award of $18.565 million for seven West Virginia school districts to deploy 50 GreenPower all-electric school buses.

"As stewards of public dollars that are being invested by the federal government in the transition to all-electric school buses, GreenPower and other American school bus manufacturers take our role serious to ensure timely delivery of safe, sustainable and sensible school buses manufactured in the U.S. to school districts who are depending on them to provide a safe, healthy means of transportation for 25 million kids per day," GreenPower President Brendan Riley said.

GreenPower said more of its buses will be delivered over the next few weeks. Grant County Public Schools will be the next district to receive their buses.
