10:19 AM EDT, 08/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Greif ( GEF ) agreed to sell its Soterra land management unit to Molpus Woodlands Group for $462 million.

The transaction covers 173,000 acres of timberlands in the Southeastern US and is expected to close around Oct. 31, the end of the fiscal year, Greif ( GEF ) said Wednesday in a statement.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to reduce debt, the company said.
